AviaAM Leasing acquires 8 Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft from GOAL
AviaAM Leasing, a fully integrated aviation company engaged in aircraft leasing and management, has acquired 8 Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft from various special purpose companies managed by German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co. KG (GOAL), Germany. The aircraft are powered by CF34-3B1 engines. The first of the 8 aircraft is to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2011 for the lease to clients from Russia and the CIS.
‘The significant increase in orders of Bombardier CRJ from the emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Russia and South Africa, as well as China and India was an obvious indicator of the need to expand the range of our products. It now appears that whilst the 20- to 59-seat segment is to experience low demand for new aircraft, it is expected to have a robust secondary market demand. According to experts, regional aviation industry in Russia has an extensive development potential. Rapid and efficient traffic services are assessed by regional market competitiveness and accessibility. According to J.Gilys, recently about USD 34 million has been invested in the new development of AviaAM Leasing aircraft fleet. ‘Moreover, the existing shareholders and various agreed upon bank investment programs will enable AviaAm Leasing to accelerate future growth, expand our list of already extensive capabilities, product range, improve service quality and strengthen our position in highly competitive aircraft leasing market.’ – said J.Gilys.
